Its been a while since I have had any news to share. We have had our ups and our downs but we have come through stronger.
We have now exceeded 450 card sales. We have adjusted our pricing in keeping with our ethics.
We did, for a short while, have to put our prices up inline with our costs.
Our prices are now lower and more competitive than those of our rivals.

As devoted royalists and her loyal british subjects we were very saddened to here of the passing of Her Majesty.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family, friends, staff and subjects. Today is truly a sad sad day.
We love you your Majesty!

To keep the prices down for everyone i have had to abandon the original Ebay selling account and start another.
Unfortunately this means I will lose all the amazing feedback everyone has provided. I will still be selling the same high quality products but now at the lower prices previously offered.

Moved house!
Moved house!
Finally the day has come when we have moved into our new home. Its been a long time coming and very hard work to move into a rental property and then again into the new house but its done.
Now to start planning the new MiRo Music products!

Ebay and Amazon have become a nightmare!
Today I must admit I have been defeated. Ebay have made our account a Business one, are charging £10 per month. On top of this the sales have dropped from 8 to 10 per month to only 1. Devastating for me but heart breaking for the Butterwick Hospice to who would receive 10% of every sale.
Amazon has been a chuffing nightmare from start to now, and Im nearly finished here too. On top of the ludicrously high charges to sell they took $47.99 without my authority to upgrade my account which I neither asked for nor I don't owe anything so why am I being charged? wanted. They refunded it after a complaint but it has meant my postage is trapped at £3.99 per item. I have priced my items at 52p each try to make it cheaper for everyone but please be aware that it is cheaper to buy MiRo Music products from Ebay and still benefits charity.
Overall the experience has proven that amazon was a poor choice on my behalf.

Today we made our 1st Amazon sale,our 200th total sale and have given over £50 to charity.
On a side note it was the first time we also sold 6 cards in one day. Bizarrely, however, 5 of the were left handed beginner cards.

Its been a ruddy awful battle trying to get everything setup but finally it is all done. After what feels like another whole 2020 (was around 6 hours) I managed to get everything live in Europe marketplaces.
Its been a real test but its done now!

Well it turns out etsy isn't the selling platform for us. The high selling costs plus low visit figures has meant we have shut the shop.

Today I uploaded the digital files for 3 of our cards as A4 single sided charts and A3 poster! The 3 designs chosen are available as downloads only in this format but for the money you get and A4 download and an A3 (which is easily scalable up to A2).
This offers you the chance to have a single sided paper copy of the chart plus one up in your home / office as a beautiful piece of informative art.
The charts available in this new format are the extended chord charts (both right and left handed) and the songwriter chart.

As sales are starting to increase slowly and stedily our cards are beginning to make their way further and further afield. This does not detract from how important our UK customers are. We would not be here without any of you.

The 12th of May appeal for new products has hit a wall. Sadly the person who submitted the idea has not been back in touch despite my emails. I will work on the new card but will not be publishing it with this batch of printed goods.

Songwriting seems to be on the rise at the moment.
We have sold more of our Songwriter cards than any other in the last few weeks. We hope to hear any new songs that may be linked in any way to MiRo cards.

Our new products are away for checking before they go to print.
The updated cards will now be more accessible to the user, our best selling card will now offer a left handed version and our new cards for new instruments have gone to our musical magician for checking.
As mentioned on the 12th of May we are appealing for ideas for new cards. So far the ideas have been minimal but one is of interest. I will give it one more week then announce the new card to come.

As we scamper towards the date our new cards will be on sale I have completed the design for our 2020 catalog. So, in effect, its almost out of date already.

We are increasing our product range to bring you the best range of music learning cards we can.
We currently have 4 new products in development, 2 existing products being redeveloped and 2 being modified but we want more.
We would like to hear any ideas for new cards you would like to see on the market.

The first person to suggest any idea we take on and produce will receive the first printed copy of their idea plus any other card they would like free of charge. All ideas will we researched to see if the market is viable. Please do not be offended if your idea is not chosen our production funds are limited and only the strongest idea will be developed. There is also the chance that your idea is already being designed.
Shhh don't say anything but our new products approaching the print stage are Mandolin Chords, Ukulele Chords, Banjo Chords and Bass Chords.

Today we sold our 100th card. It has been dispatched and will soon be winging all the way to South Australia. So not only is the card travelling abroad its also going to the furthest part of the world.
Congratualtions to Aussie Ian who should receive the card sometime during the week.
As a small gift from us we will be giving Ian his next card for free.

As the whole world is locked down and everyone is staying in and distancing themselves, we have taken it chosen to use this time creatively.
Richard is currently working on a very impressive new product which we are hoping to offer in the coming months. I hope you will find it as exciting as we do.
I have been designing 5 new products and have improved 3 of our existing range. In the next few months we hope to start selling through Amazon once stocks are refilled.

Whilst my evenings have become Claustrophobic in terms of my normal life it has become quite creatively active.
I currently have two new products to be printed then added to the list plus Richard has been working on a secret project. Fingers crossed this lock-down continues to focus our minds creatively but hopefully this horrible situation ends soon.
Whilst things are continuing. however, we would like to thank all the Key-workers and Essential workers plus anyone else out there trying to keep our beautiful word ticking over. As the terrible toll continues to rise we would like to offer our sincerely condolences to those who have lost people. Our thoughts and prayers are with you!

As people are starting to self isolate and lock themselves away for the next few weeks we at MiRo Music will be lowering the prices of our music cards for the next month or so. We hope that our cards will offer some relief from the boredom or even the next big artist or even no 1 hit.

Although it saddens me to say that all future ManFrog gigs (and outings) have been cancelled for the foreseeable I am pleased to announce that we have an article in NARC magazine! The unfortunate cancellations are due to the COVID-19 virus. We are concerned about the health of not only our band but more the people that come to see us (both of them).
We hope you will all bear with us until this madness is over with.

Our Twitter page has just reached 50 followers!
We are extremely pleased to say that we have reached 50 followers on Twitter. We have offered discounts and information and really enjoyed our time. Our biggest surprise was receiving a huge response from posting one of my landscape photographs taken during my time at http://www.northallertoncameraclub.com/ .
I will try another photo later this month and if it receives positive feedback I will add a section to the website of my best photos.

Well I have massively disappointment myself. I set myself the challenge of tweeting ever day of the year. Unfortunately, during a very stressful and busy evening, i forgot. I have been celebrating the fact we have 42 followers and proud of every single one.
One particular follower is Paul Draper from the band Mansun. I am a massive fan of the album 'Attack of the Grey Lantern' and taught myself to play each song on guitar.
I am back to tweeting again. Hopefully I can keep the Tweeting going!

I am excited to say that we have had our first return customer (that wasn't family or friend. The customer, who I will call 'M', brought his custom back and we are very grateful. M bought a card from us back at the very beginning and has come back to us.
As a celebration we have reduced the price of the extended cards to £2 plus postage (both right and left handed) for a limited time of course.

MiRo Music is pleased to announce that we have sold our 60th guitar chord card. It has been a long year with intermittent sales hitting only 38 but we have finally hit the 60th with the sales from Christmas and the launch of our website. I know you will be wondering why we didn't celebrate the 50th card. There is a simple answer to this. I forgot to fill in the spreadsheet. Well its done now. Christmas has sadly come to an end, the new years has crept up on us and we are starting back to work. Here at MiRo Music Cards our celebrations are continuing. Our new website has had 50 visitors already and we have received several orders alongside. Fingers crossed 2020 keeps going this well for MiRo Music.

Well December has seen the launch of our first website. Finally, after a year of 'seeing how things go' we are launching our website. We've worked hard to get here and picked up a few new skills on the way but we are here. We hope you like it. It may not be the slickest or fanciest of websites but its all ours.
