This beginner / learner chord chart is designed to be easy to use for users of all ages and is the ideal starting point for your guitar playing journey.
The back of the card shows the note layout of the fret-board and has some blank fret-boards for noting any new chords shapes you pick up as you learn.
Printed on A5 200mg gloss white card this colourful, easy to read card, offers the chance to learn the basic chord shapes in a fun way.
To use this chart, place the finger tips of your left hand on the fret-board as shown by the black circles on each chord diagram. The green letters denote the string to play.
Make sure you position your fingers so as to ensure the note rings nice and clearly. Try each string in turn then strum them all together. - Remember not to play the strings marked with a red letter as this is not part of the chord.
Try changing your choice of finger for each dot until you find the comfortable position for your playing.
Chords noted: Major, Minor, Seventh and Minor Seventh across the notes A, B, C, D, E, F, G. Why not try our extended chord card or barre chord & scales chart if you have already mastered these?
Some teachers / tutors believe certain fingers should be in certain locations for each chord but we think comfort is far better for encouraging playing. Once you've mastered the basics there is plenty of time to perfect technique.
